What Light

Gentle danger, swinging plea
Casting shadows liltingly
Singing silence on a wall
Photon notes not heard at all

What light will fill me now?

Watching memories unfold
Tracing stories still untold
Patterned in an ancient tongue
Younger than when it was young

What light will fill me now?

“It’s getting dark,” the voices paint
Louder while becoming faint
Lantern like a pendulum
First becoming then become

What light will fill me now?…
